A dozen horses stolen from a field

TWELVE horses have been stolen from a field near Wickwar.

The animals are believed to have been taken sometime overnight between Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14.

They were being kept in a field in Inglestone Common when they were targeted by thieves.

Sgt Adrian Fallows said: "A barbed wire fence around the field had been cut.

"A generator was also stolen from the area."

He added: "Anybody with any knowledge of this incident or who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police immediately."
