PRIMARY school pupils from all around the area are getting ready to sing their hearts out at the ‘Castle by Candlelight’ event at Berkeley Castle.
On the evenings of Friday 5 to Sunday, December 7 (5pm-8.30pm), visitors are offered the rare chance to explore the castle by candlelight.
The Tyndale Choir, which is made up of pupils from six Primary Schools - Hillesley, Kingswood, North Nibley, Stone with Woodford, Slimbridge and Coaley - will also be at the castle on Saturday evening to perform a selection of Christmas carols and songs.
"Last year proved a storming success, and the choir are looking forward to entertaining the visitors at the castle," said choir organiser and Hillesley headteacher Jill Brookes.
"We sing traditional carols and songs that are right for the occasion and that everyone knows,"
"The children are all terribly excited – especially as Father Christmas is going to be there."
